I plan on replacing the ground straps and maybe the corroded coils and/or the PCM. He hasn't found a solution yet, and in the meantime, after reading ETC / Limp Mode, I discovered I have two bad ground straps on the valve cover bolts, and at least two or more very corroded coils. My check engine light is off, and my scanner shows no codes, but my mechanic found two codes on his machine: P2106 - ETC System Forced Limited Power, and P1618 - Sensor Reference Voltage error. I have also read other threads about users with the same problem ( ETC / Limp Mode ) which are helpful, but I thought it might make sense to post a new thread as I now have new codes.

I previously posted an ABS and Brake Light On Code P0700 and P1794 thread which now appears to have been unrelated to the above problem. The ETC light comes on and the truck goes into limp mode, pull over, shut truck off and restart immediately and your fine until it happens again. I have been having problems with my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7 Hemi.
